Community in Action

Other initiatives included volunteering at foodbanks, partnerships with The Tree Council, Bumblebee Conservation Trust, and Essex Wildlife Trust, and ongoing support for young people and SEND employment programmes.

Ground Control’s environmental credentials continue to strengthen. The business confirmed to be on track for net zero by 2038, with a verified 15% carbon reduction in carbon emissions and 17% decrease in emissions intensity ratio (per £m turnover) this year. Through its £5m Evergreen Fund, it continues to restore land, enhance biodiversity, and support community-led sustainability projects nationwide.

For 2025/26, Ground Control’s ambitions include: 100,000 new trees planted as part of our next £1m tree target A fully electric passenger fleet 1,750 volunteering hours £30,000 in matched giving

Jason Knights, CEO, shared:

Our success is measured not just in financial performance, but in the positive impact we create for people, communities, and the planet. This year’s results show that when purpose drives performance, growth and sustainability go hand in hand.
Ground Control continues to prove that human nature, at its best, can build a more sustainable and inclusive world one project, one tree, and one community at a time.
