Saving carbon and still on track to be Net Zero by 2038

Ground Control is proud to announce its continued progress towards achieving its net-zero target by 2038.
Our 2024/25 Business Carbon Assessment (BCA), conducted according to BS EN ISO 14064-1 and the GHG Protocol, shows that the company has achieved a significant reduction in tCO₂e emissions for the 2024/25 financial year. Total emissions have decreased by 15%, while the emissions intensity ratio has declined by 17% over the past two years, despite rapid corporate growth.
This reduction has been achieved through a focus on best practices in emissions reduction across all scopes, including direct activity and operations (Scope 1 and 2), as well as supply chain emissions (Scope 3). This improvement in carbon intensity suggests that emissions growth has been partially decoupled from business expansion, as turnover rose by 74% over the same period.
Since the baseline year (2020/21), Ground Control has implemented and continuously improved on sustainable initiatives such as the use of battery-powered tools and electric vehicles, holding contractors accountable for sustainable waste management, and optimising routes to reduce travel time and emissions.
Jason Knights, CEO of Ground Control, comments:
It was a real pleasure working with Ground Control on their Business Carbon Assessment. Their active engagement throughout the process reflects a genuine commitment to environmental responsibility and reducing their carbon impact. A special mention to Robyn, who was incredibly meticulous and collaborative throughout. Her attention to detail made all the difference.
Ground Control's verified carbon reduction targets include a commitment to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 90% by FYE 2030 and Scope 3 GHG emissions by 42% by the same year. The company aims to reach net-zero GHG emissions across the value chain by FYE 2038 and maintain at least a 90% reduction in emissions from 2030 through 2050.
With a strong focus on sustainability and reducing its carbon footprint, Ground Control is dedicated to leaving the world in a better place for future generations.
