Introducing our all-new Field Team (FT) Pit Stops
Our Field Team engagement team has created ‘Field Team Pit Stops’. A new way to engage prospective and current field teams across the UK. Alex Clark explains more.
At Ground Control, our field teams drive our award-winning services and maintenance, whilst delivering world-class customer satisfaction. To continue connecting with our teams, showcasing best practices, and allowing new field teams to see what working with Ground Control is all about, we have launched a series of Field Team (FT) Pit Shops across the UK.
What are Field Team (FT) Pit Stops?
FT Pit Stops are a new, nationwide programme designed to connect our field teams, Contract Managers, and partners at a local level. Allowing people to ask meaningful questions, meet with supplies, and learn from field teams who share their experiences.
Our current teams can talk, share ideas, raise issues, and strengthen relationships in the field, whereas teams looking to join Ground Control can find out exactly what it is like to be part of our GC community. With a friendly, no-pressure atmosphere, each event will include:
- Meet-and-greets with Ground Control Contract Managers and the opportunity for live feedback and two-way conversations
- Exclusive discounts and trade incentives from suppliers on tools, PPE, equipment, and more
What are the benefits of becoming a Field Team?
Working with Ground Control offers a unique opportunity to remain an independent business whilst accessing guaranteed work and support from a nationwide company, as well as:
- Competitive rates, paid on time through our central business
- Local work, which means less travel and a smaller carbon footprint
- Access to the best equipment and machinery
- Health & Safety support, including a 24/7 help desk
- Part of our HR, IT, and Training infrastructure
- The opportunity to align with a multi-award-winning business
- Financial incentives for referring new field teams and customers
Who is the event for?
If you’re a field team looking to engage more closely with Ground Control, a supplier interested in showcasing your products, or a client wanting to see how we’re investing in frontline relationships, we’d love to see you there.
When and where are our pit stops?
Following two successful events in the summer of 2025 in the North and East of England, our next event is taking place on Friday, 18th December at the Canal & River Trust in Newbury.

Once again, the event is open to field teams, prospective contractors, or clients interested in how Ground Control supports its teams. No need to register, just come along anytime between 09:00 and 14:00.
We will be hosting a series of these events across the UK throughout 2026, so stay tuned for a pit stop near you.
