Martin Nilsson

Martin Nilsson joined Ground Control as Chief Financial Officer in April 2025, bringing over 13 years of international investment banking experience across the UK, Australia, Asia, and the US. A Chartered Accountant, Martin has a proven track record of financial leadership in both listed and privately held businesses, with revenues ranging from £1 billion to £8 billion.
Prior to joining Ground Control, Martin held senior finance roles in the construction and support services sectors. As Finance Director at MITIE plc, he was instrumental in the turnaround of the Engineering Services division. He later served as CFO of The Carey Group, a £700 million family-owned construction business, where he led a major operational restructuring to support growth.
Martin is recognised for building high-performing finance teams and delivering long-term shareholder value. His broad sector expertise spans business services, construction, infrastructure, retail, transport, and technology, positioning him as a versatile and strategic leader.
